Protecting consumer privacy is paramount to Tapad as Tapad has been privacy-first from the creation of the company. In the EU, Tapad has invested significant resources into preparing for GDPR compliance, and rolled many of these initiatives to all data processing across all regions. This means:

  • Ongoing commitment to transparency, user control, and user privacy with full disclosures as to the data collected, processed and stored
  • Provision of clear notice to consumers and easy opt-out choices
  • Membership in self-regulatory organizations such as NAI, DAA and eDAA, and IAB EU, including as a registered global vendor with the IAB Consent and Transparency Framework Implementing Privacy-by-Design and Data Minimization principles throughout the product development process:
    • Not collecting data when there is no present commercial need
    • Limiting data retention to the minimum amount needed for the purposes of usage
    • Utilizing automatic expiration of data sets
    • Implementing technical safeguards to not ingest data that is not known or needed
  • Ongoing formal privacy impact assessments for all key products
  • Increased diligence and working closely with all partners and clients to ensure all data processing and collection are in compliance with relevant regulations
  • Implemented processes for effective and efficient response to data subject requests including right to access and erasure
