Tapad Tech Talks in Oslo: Behind the Scenes with our CTO
Last night we kicked off our first “Tapad Tech Talks” event at Mesh Oslo. We had a great crowd of engineers, startup founders and more, and were happy to network with Oslo’s tech community.
Since launching our new office in Oslo, we’ve been eager to integrate with the local startup community and get to know our fellow engineers, entrepreneurs, etc. We decided to host this event as a way to gather Oslo’s tech network and introduce Tapad; what we do, and the technology that’s important to us.
Dag Liodden, Tapad’s CTO and co-founder, discussed how the company works from a technical perspective, the technologies we rely on to build and scale efficiently, and our goals for the new Oslo office. This includes why we use Scala as well as finding the right balance for systems architecture via reasonably-sized services.
We plan for this to be the first of many Tapad Tech Talks, so keep an eye out for future events and follow us on Twitter (@TapadEng) to stay tuned! If you’re interested in joining our Oslo team, please see here for current openings.
Also, if you would like to learn more about Scala, let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org as we plan to host workshops in the near future. Please feel free to use that email if you have any questions about job opportunities as well.
