Loek Hooft van Huysduynen joins us from the New York University (NYU) Physics Department where he worked in conjunction with The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN, Geneva) conducting research and teaching undergraduate-level physics courses. While there, he wrote C++ code to classify particle collisions for analysis and was a member of the ATLAS experiment team at the Large Hadron Collider behind in the Nobel Prize-winning God Particle. Earned his Ph.D. in Experimental High Energy Particle Physics from NYU, M.Sc. in Particle & Astro-Particle Physics from the University of Amsterdam and B.Sc. in Physics & Astronomy from the University of Amsterdam (Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
